The Story

John Ashe is a fifty-year-old lawyer with all the trappings of success - money, swell home in the leafy suburbs of New York, smart wife, multitalented son - everything but what he wishes for: another turn at the wheel, back to the youth allegedly wasted on the young. His passport to the days of raging hormones, clear eyes, tight skin, and a marathoner's stamina is Elena, the drop-dead gorgeous paralegal he hires, against all the prevailing wisdom at his firm. And for a while life is grand again: his affair with this woman half his age goes beyond the pages of the Kama Sutra; all aches and pains in his legs disappear, he buys a Porsche and divorces his wife, completely transforming his old life, professional and social.
