The Story
The Scottish Highlands in the eighteenth century have little to offer Rachel Calhoun and her brother. Their abusive father and grinding poverty make them long for another life. Idealistic young doctor Drew Wolfe befriends and tries to protect Rachel, and when he emigrates to Philadelphia, the Calhouns gladly accompany him.
