The Story Of Annie D.

The Story

In the beginning of this fine first novel, Annie D., the narrator, presents a rather gloomy picture of Wizen River, Nebraska--her hometown. Despite her bleak outlook, the town seems to be rather idyllic--until a series of random killings uproots the town. With her sharp tongue and good heart, Annie D. tries to make sense of it all.
