The Story

In the summer, tourists come to the pond in Stonington, Maine. But in the winter, the pond belongs to the locals--especially to beautiful figure skater Doreen Johnson, and to the boys who play hockey. It is at this pond that a tragedy occurs--a devastating accident that will thrust one teenage girl into a harsh adulthood as she comes to terms with the painful questions of love, loss, and desire.
