The Story

It is the second anniversary of the death of Uta, secretly beloved by William and mother of Helene. A refugee from Dresden, Uta arrived in this upstate New York town knowing nobody and made a new life, while trying to preserve all that was now forever gone. Helene, now in her forties, tries to convince her lover, Harry, the owner of the local bar, to rise above the mundane and use his imagination so she can love him.
