The Fountains Of Neptune

The Story

Within the cloistered gardens of a secluded spa in France, Nicolas attempts to reconstruct the sequence of his life--a story that begins in a French seaport town before the Great War, and becomes obliterated when Nicolas, at age nine, falls into a long, coma-like sleep. Under the care of the brilliant psychoanalist, Dr. Venus Kaisertiege, the pleasures and torments of Nicolas' past unfold: from teh steamy kitchen of his uncle's house, redolent of bouillabaisse, and the diversions and tall tales heard in teh loval groggeries, to the spectre of violence that lies at the heart of Nicolas' quest -- Publisher.
