Heat-Zone Gardening: How To Choose Plants That Thrive In Your Region's Warmest Weather

The Story

Dr. H. Marc Cathey, the President Emeritus of the American Horticulture Society, has created the first-ever AHS Plant Heat-Sone Map. This easy-to-read map divides the United Stated into 12 color-coded zones, based on how many 'heat days' each region receives annually. Step-by-step instructions show you how to choose plants that thrive in your region's climate. In addition, a fact-filled 'Plant Profiles' section includes heat zones for nearly 500 commonly used annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs!
