God Keeps His Promises: Beginning Bible Stories (Simon, Mary Manz, Hear Me Read Bible Stories.)

The Story

Can a complete Bible story have only 20 words? Yes! Each of the three stories in this easy-to-read collection has a mere 20 vocabulary words -- or fewer. The secret is that the words are repeated again and again to build beginning readers' skills and confidence. Best of all, the cheerful stories remind children that God surely keeps his promises -- sometimes in amazing ways. Stories include Send a Baby (the birth of John the Baptist), A Silent Night (Christmas), and Follow That Star (the journey of the wise men). Plus fun, full-color illustrations on every page help make a beginner's first reading adventure an even bigger pleasure.
