The Story

The body of an Upper East Side art dealer is found entombed beneath the ice of Manhattan's Central Park reservoir with a silent scream carved into his face. Television newswriter Michael Carpo suspects that the case may be linked to something more insidious than a random thrill-kill. But when the victim's secret lover turns out to be a woman Michael Carpo once knew intimately, he finds himself walking a fine line between his scruples as a TV newswriter and as a man, forced to make choices that will reveal much more than he wants to know about art, murder, and love... its betrayals and its sometimes fatal consequences.
