The Story
In this adventure story set in the Southwest of 1916, seven Americans including railway hoboes, a Pinkerton agent, and the abandoned wife of a silver miner, are captured at the Mexican border by a band of renegades from Pancho Villa's army. Their eventual escape takes them across the rugged Sierra Madre in a decrepit 1907 Thomas Flyer automobile.
