The Story
Before Thoroughbred, Ashleigh Griffen lived at Edgardale, her family's farm in Kentucky. Nothing could be more perfect than life on the farm with her family, her favorite horses, and her best friend, Mona. Ashleigh loves helping with the horses--and dreaming of becoming a jockey someday... Aladdin has to run! Ashleigh has never been more excited--her favorite horse, Aladdin's Treasure, is running in the Kentucky Derby! But just before race day Aladdin has an accident while his jockey is breezing him. Now, not only is Aladdin terrified of the jockey, but the jockey is terrified of Aladdin! Only Ashleigh is capable of putting horse and rider back together again. But with the Derby just hours away, can she bridge their trust in time?
