The Story

When this book was being planned, Norway was odds onto join the EEC. Soon after the Norwegian chapter was completed, the people of that country decided toretain their independence, which left the editorsin a quandary. This book could have been called The Common market and norwegian cookbook; wewe could have torn out the relevant pages or requested you not to look at them. However, the editors, whose opinion is final, decided to live them in, feeling that the recipes will provide housewives with much pleasure. - (From the Introduction)
