104 page soft cover. A Leg Up is a collection of stories about growing up as an amputee, cancer survivor, and human being. Josh Sundquist is a Paralympic ski racer and nationally known inspirational speaker. He was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer at age 9 and given a fifty percent chance to live. He spent a year on chemotherapy treatments and lost his left leg as a result of the disease. Doctors declared Josh cured of the cancer at age thirteen and three years later he started ski racing. He trained for the next six years and was named to the United States Paralympic Ski Team.
