The Story

This is a story that crosses generations, races and genders. The central character is a thirty-five years old African-American woman who is supposedly living the American dream but has reached her breaking point. In the struggle to understand her true identify and find direction for her life, the central character reflects on the events in her life that molded the person she has become and past decisions that are still impacting her life. At eighteen, her world was turned upside down by a kiss. This novel has some sex-related material and may be inappropriate for preteens.
